This microdart pimple patch is oddly satisfying

At the risk of starting this off with a humblebrag: I don’t get pimples very often.

Not to say I’m without any beauty woes (baby-fine hair, hello), but acne is not something I usually deal with.

Recently, though, I had a throuple of zits pop up on my chin. Red, throbby, the type of cluster that makes you wonder if it’s actually becoming sentient.

I knew what I had to do.

In the back of my medicine cabinet, I dug out the pimple patches that always come to my rescue at times like this. I know some people – looking at you, Gen Z – reach for brightly-colored pimple patches in shapes you’d find in a box of Paw Patrol-themed Kraft macaroni & cheese.

That’s not me.

I discovered Zitsticka several years ago and reach for the brand every time I’m in need. The acne patch features dissolvable microdarts designed to deliver salicylic acid directly to the zit.

Maybe I’m a masochist, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the tiny spikes that deliver higher levels of active ingredients directly to the source that makes me feel like I’m really getting my money’s worth.

But the proof is in the fact that I go to bed with one of these babies on my face and wake up with smaller, less red bumps.

Cop a pack now, before your next breakout:

I don't know about you, but the roller coaster “chug chug chug” ascent towards September always fills me with anticipation. I’m transported back to the Supermarket Sweep–esque shopping trip for new notebooks and new shoes, and with them, the delusional belief that this is the year dopey-but-dreamy jock Gerard notices me if I just douse myself in enough Gap Om fragrance (which is back, by the way!). That back-to-school energy is worth stealing, even as adults. After all, who couldn’t use a...

Last night I dreamt that I wasn’t invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding. Now, in real life, I also wasn’t invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding. But Dream Megan was deeply offended by this. Fine, I thought. Maybe not the ceremony. But I should at least be someone's +1 at the after-party? When I woke up, I laughed at how ridiculous it all was. But you know how sometimes a dream hangs around for awhile? Like when you’re annoyed at your spouse because Dream Them flirted with someone else? This was kind...
